Kat began her theatrical career in preschool, and consistently appeared in children's theater, magic shows, and regional theater. She studied at the Royal Academy of Dance, did her undergraduate work in theater at Arizona State University, and later studied at American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco and Washington DC's Shakespeare Theater Company. She has worked with Jessica Lange, Mandy Patinkin, Stuart Whitman, and Nick Nolte, among others, along with appearing regularly at regional theaters and ballet companies in Virginia and Washington DC. Among her stage credits are: After the Fall, The Government Inspector, Doll's House Part 2, Love Letters, The Rainmaker, The Odd Couple (Female Version), Rumors, The Sunshine Boys, Belle of Amherst, I am a Camera, Henry IV Part II, Twelve Angry Jurors, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, Midsummer Night's Dream, Love Loss and What I Wore, and Betrayal. Her screen credits include Homeland (Season 7), The Road to Galena, and Message from a Higher Dimension.
