Elena graduated from Hunter College with an MA in Theater in 2012. Her directorial debut in New York was Conor McDonald’s The Smoke, which was presented at the short play festival Open Hydrant. Elena worked at Steps Theater for several years as an actress and a director. Her recent directorial credits include White On White by Maya Pramatarova and Baudelaire’s Passion by Henry Keen.
Elena is a big devotee of physical theater and mask work and constantly attends workshops on modern dance, puppetry, mime theater, and butoh.
